my mom just told me that they're changing stuff at the schools next year...with buses and stuff. Apparently, MTD is too expensive and crowded and everything, so they're cutting it out completely. And since they don't have enough yellow buses to take everyone at once, they're changing it so that the elementary/middle schools start earlier and...ta da...the high school starts later. Because "According to studies, high school students don't learn well early in the morning." hah, you think?! But then that means that school will go later in the afternoon. ugh. Personally, I'd prefer to get up earlier and get home earlier. sigh. But at least the yellow buses will be better....maybe. ughity ugh ugh. no fun. I hate buses.
anyway...I'm already sick of studying, and there's 2-3 more days of it still. argh! all we do in class is STUDY. REVIEW. DISCUSS. It's driving me crazy! I do love the review sheets I made for Spanish and English last night. Tonight the agenda is making a sheet of all the math formulas in my notebook. EXCITING.
So they announced today that we won't get our new schedules until the day we start the new semester. argh! And I just figured out that if I don't change teachers, my schedule won't change at all, except for the switch between marching band and PE. Thta's boring, but I prefer it to changing teachers. sigh.
*falls into the dark abyss of no return - also known as the Abyss of Endless Studying*
yesterday was fun fun fun...I stayed in bed until about 10:30, reading All's Fair in Love, War, and High School, which is an awesome book that I totally recommend. It's made me think about how much I insult people without even thinking about it - way too much. Anyway, I got up and dressed and then Mum and I went shopping. I convinced her to get me a sweatshirt at Kohl's that I really like, because it was on clearance for 7 bucks plus I had 2 dollars on my gift card that I could put towards it. yay! And then Famous Barr and Bergner's, where I found my prom dress for next year...yes, I tried on prom dresses. By myself. I was BORED! and then we came home and I threw my stuff together and went over to Rachel's. And we made (*cough* BUILT) a cake and ate lots of conversation hearts and then got ready to go to dinner...we wore jeans under our dresses! it was fun. heehee...I still want to cut the sleeves off of that dress. Maybe I'll get Grandma to help me. hmmm. Anyway, so we went and picked up Cole and then Robby, and went to DQ...and Rachael met us there. And then I took Rachael to her lock-in, and then Robby to his, and we hug out in that parking lot for a while. And then we went back to Rach's with Cole and she and I changed and then we messed around for a bit and then we went to the Etc, except that as soon as we got there Devin called and we went to pick him up (which was iiiinteresting...) and then we went BACK to the Etc, which turned out to be closed, so we went to OSCO! and then back to Rach's and watched Napoleon Dynamite and I barely got home in time. sigh...it was so much fun. and this was long. I go now.
so I'm baaack! Atl. was fun fun fun. highlights: Storytime with Mr. Coogan, the World of Coke, the mall attatched to Jillian's, rooming with awesome people, prank calling people and singing weird songs on the phone, getting 2nd place for concert band, grand champion for jazz band, and second place for parade, marching in the parade, getting a balloon hat, the new year's eve party, changing on the bus, staying up until 3 am, watching cable, walking like the people on the crosswalk signs, stopping at truck stops, getting HPYMLs!!
school tomorrow. bleach. I didn't do all the reading I was supposed to do. woohoo for Sparknotes...I hope I can remember my schedule! lol...less than two weeks until finals. ack!! oooh, I need to read the book for book club. sigh...winter dance on saturday. hopefully going! hopefully with Robby! need shoes...better go, falling asleep.
today: got up at 8, wrapped the present I'd forgotten I had for Mom, then went back to bed because Mom refused to wake Joel up until 8:30. Finished my book. Went downstairs and did teh whole Christmas-morning thing (Christmas story, presents, breakfast) and then got dressed. Helped Mommy decorate the cake (I am, after all, the master decorator) and then packed up and went over to Argenta for the rest of Christmas. There, I mainly stood around feeling left outand out of place, and then we ate, and I sat in the place right between the two table, so my chair was facing the card table but my plate was on the big table. A bit uncomfortable, especially since the table legs were where mY legs wanted to be. lol. And then presents. An adorable pewter Viking (ahhh! Norwegian! run! heeheehee) that Grandma and Grandpa got in Norway, plus 100 bucks, and A Hard Day's Night DVD from Aunt Cheryl!! YAY!!! I'm so happy. And then dessert, and then we watched part of Ward's present (Lord of the Ring extended versionm - the whole set) for a while...speaking of WardandLindsay, they're going on their honeymoon starting Monday. It's so cute. Anyway, then we watched A Christmas Story and then Home Alone, and then came home. phew. And now it's a WHITE CHRISTMAS! It's snowing! I'm so happy. I have some awesome new stuff, $200 dollars to spend, and then Peach Bowl is in 2 days. However, I haven't evem started all the reading I have to do over break. heehee.
Merry Christmas, everybody. I hope yours was as wonderful as mine.
I just got back today from WARSAW!!! I so so so happy. I miss Lisa so much, all the time. And everyone else, too. Especially Phillip now, because you know where he is right now?? THE SOUTH POLE. ON VACATION. Dude, who goes to the South Pole on vacation?!?! So I haven't seen him since I moved. sigh...and a whole bunch of guys that I knew in 7th grade or earlier got really hot!
oh my GOD, Paul! He's like 6 feet something! lol, he's one of the best parts of visiting Lisa...him, and Jones, and donuts, and Lucky Charms, and the photo booth at the mall, and play-dough, and sugar sticks, but best of all, LISA! duh. lol.
So I went to TAB tonight...it was fun fun, but my Secret Santa wasn't there...I think it was Sara. Which is ironic because since she wans't there I got the gift that was supposed to be for her. And I absolutely ADORE it. woohoo. I have nothing else to say. It's winter break, I'm broke and exhausted and have a weird message on my cell phone. yay!
